In this episode of Anna Gare’s Cab Fare, I meet Hameed, a cab driver for over 20 years. I try my hand at making his succulent lamb soup and create some perfectly poached pears. Later, I call in to Hameed’s impressive family home and serve up a Middle Eastern-inspired menu.


Hameed’s Lamb Tashreeb (Iraqi Soup)

This soup is hearty and has all of the middle eastern flavour of Iraq. Pair with some Middle Eastern flatbread for the perfect hearty mid-week meal.

These dolma are perfect for picnics or as a side dish to any kind of meat. I’ve also added my trick for making an amazing tahini & yoghurt dipping sauce that is just divine.
